With the transition to ESOP ownership, many middle market companies gain an increased focus on share value. This session will explore basics of value-based management and how that may be applied to maximizing the value of the ESOP from inception through maturity. We will explore the trade-offs between growth and margins, reinvestment needs and their impact on that trade-off, acquisition strategies, financial capacity, and capital structure management. All of this with an eye toward deleveraging the younger ESOP, sustainability, repurchase obligation, and other ESOP-specific considerations.
